Coal Fired Power Plant
Project designed to fit with clients’ area constraints
Strict environmental emission controls matched
The Bocamina II Steam Power Plant is located in Southern Chile, Bio Bio Region, approximately 20 km from the nearest town, Concepcion.
Tecnimont was Leader of the Consortium that signed with the client, ENDESA SA, one of the biggest players in the Chilean power generation market, the turnkey Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contract for the construction of the 370 MW Pulverized Bituminous coal fired Steam Power Plant in 2007.
The project is a pulverized bituminous coal combustion plant with a wet limestone desulfurization system, fabric filter for particulate retention and low NOx burners.
Due to the restriction imposed by an available area of only 3.8 ha, the space and layout of the plant. have been adequately optimized, conferring to the area a specific characteristic.
The power plant fulfilled all contractual technical requirements including high availability and strict environmental emission controls.
