In September 2005, Tecnimont successfully completed the Complex composed of two Petrochemical Units both based on Basell License (Spheripol and Hostalen technologies) and relevant utilities and off-site facilities. The Owner is a Polish Joint Venture company formed by Basell Europe Holding (Germany) and PKN-Orlen (Poland). The Contract has been awarded for the construction of a grass root complex that is one of the largest European polyolefin productions (Basell’s technologies) and includes the world largest Polypropylene unit ever built at that time. The project has been implemented on schedule and with full satisfaction of the Client, under a project financing scheme organized by a consortium of international banks. Tecnimont, thanks to its worldwide experience, has been capable to complete the first EPC Project in Poland, utilizing almost only local subcontractors for construction and maximizing the local procurement.
